Renewable energy resources are gaining a lot of popularity. Several researchers have worked on the tracking and extraction of energy from these sources. In the past few decades, among the available green energy resources, wind energy has been the most attractive option among the resources available. It is imperative to use the maximum power available in the wind to achieve the wind turbine (WT) operation at maximum power. The maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithms are a pioneer in this context. Many research papers are contributed in this domain which necessitates a thorough review while choosing an appropriate technique. This paper comprehensively focuses on reviewing different algorithms in the past and present for tracking maximum power point, and capturing maximized output power from the wind energy conversion system (WECS). In this paper, the algorithms are classified based on the direct and indirect power measurement, hybrid and smart algorithms for tracking maximum power point, and they are compared, considering the parameters like complexity, convergence speed, use of sensors, memory requirement, need for knowledge of system parameters, etc. The immense popularity of the different versions of perturb and observe (P&O) based algorithms due to their various features is evident from the literature. The review reveals that the hybrid maximum power point tracking algorithms can use the advantages of the conventional methods and eliminate their drawbacks.

This work presents a new trapezoidal-rule-based variation of the perturb and observe algorithm to track the point with maximum power for a wind energy conversion system. The algorithm works in three steps. In the first step, the trapezoidal-rule-based division of the power curve into trapezoids of equal width is carried out. In the second step, areas of the adjacent trapezoids are compared to identify the trapezoid with the largest area. In the third step, the conventional perturb and observe algorithm is employed in the trapezoid having the largest area to capture the point of maximum power. The algorithm is simulated in MATLAB/SIMULINK to check the efficacy in capturing the maximum power. The simulation results suggest that the proposed method performs well under fluctuating wind conditions with improved yielded power. An effort to achieve simplicity for implementation and effectively track the maximum power point is made and presented.

The conventional techniques employed for tracking maximum power suffer from several issues. The perturb and observe (P&O) algorithm is extremely popular among the conventional techniques for WECS to track and capture the maximum power point. The major issue with this algorithm is opting for an appropriate step size. A new technique is developed and described in this paper, which combines the trapezoidal rule and the fuzzy logic control technique, to address this issue. Two techniques are compared with the proposed algorithm: the trapezoidal rule-based P&O (TRPO) algorithm and the conventional P&O method to prove the superiority of the technique presented in this work. MATLAB/Simulink simulation showcases the enhancement of power by this technique. Randomly varying wind speeds were used to examine the power output of all three algorithms. The results obtained after simulation portray significant enhancement in DC output current, voltage, and power with considerable reduction in the oscillations by employing the proposed technique.

Objective: The objective of this study is to evaluate the quality of mobile health (mHealth) applications that promote cervical cancer awareness and provide screening assistance, with an emphasis on apps available on the Google Play Store and iOS. Methods: From December 2023 to February 2024, we assessed mobile applications focused on cervical cancer screening that are available on Google Play and Apple iTunes. The “Cervical Cancer,” “Mobile Application,” “Pap Test,” “Cervical Cancer Guide,” “Human Papillomavirus,” plus “Cervical Screening are the keywords used to search the applications.” Data collection includes features such as application name, pricing, download metrics, invention date, last update, affiliation, online access, login requirements, and notification functionality, which were gathered in Excel. Interrater reliability based on four reviewers’ independent judgments, varied from 0.75 to 0.83. Result: In our research, we found 25 apps (16 on the Google Play Store and 9 on iOS). After a thorough review, only 14 relevant apps were included. According to the MARS rating, Rise Against Cancer received the highest score (3.9), followed by FightHPV and Cervical Cancer Forum (3.8). Rise Against Cancer (29), HPV Vaccine (28), and CDC STI Tx Guidelines (28) scored highest in the APPLICATIONS rating system. Hope 4 All and OCI Cervibreast closely matched the statements, meeting seven of the thirteen requirements each. Conclusion: Future app developers should produce user-friendly, often updated mHealth applications that include high-quality cervical cancer awareness and screening content. These apps should provide validated information and pleasant graphic effects.

Patients with COVID-19 generally recover within a fortnight or a month. However, some patients, even those with milder types of the disease, experience symptoms after they have recovered. Symptoms of COVID-19 might continue for months at a time. The virus affects the heart, brain, and lungs, perhaps leading to long-term health-related problems. Thus, it is critical to keep track of any post-COVID symptoms to prevent further complications. Keeping that in focus, two apps are created to monitor these symptoms in people who have recovered from COVID 19 with comorbidities includes Diabetes, coronary artery diseases and hypertension. In this project, the patient's data was obtained from selected hospitals in Pune, and stored in Google Firebase. This data was used while making the backend algorithms for the apps. Android Studio and Figma were used to design and develop these apps. One app will be used by the patients, which allows them to post their health conditions if they are suffering with symptoms of post COVID complications and another App will be used by the investigators to monitor these symptoms and provides an access to post the advises pertaining to the patient's health condition. The biggest challenge is with patients suffering from conditions like hypertension, diabetes and other chronic illness which can be fatal if not monitored and addressed, specially for the elderly to frequently visit the hospital just for monitoring. The prime objective of the app developed in this work is to provide monitoring and to prevent post COVID complications and save the life of patients who have recovered from COVID and already have underlying issues. These apps allow researchers/Doctors to contact the patients personally to counsel them against the symptoms they are experiencing. Both these apps were tested in Android 8 Oreo and are functional in Android 8 Oreo, Android 9 Pie, Android 10, and Android 11 supported devices. These applications will soon be deployed in the Play Store.
