Machine learning and medical diagnostic studies often struggle with the issue of class imbalance in medical datasets, complicating accurate disease prediction and undermining diagnostic tools. Despite ongoing research efforts, specific characteristics of medical data frequently remain overlooked. This article comprehensively reviews advances in addressing imbalanced medical datasets over the past decade, offering a novel classification of approaches into preprocessing, learning levels, and combined techniques. We present a detailed evaluation of the medical datasets and metrics used, synthesizing the outcomes of previous research to reflect on the effectiveness of the methodologies despite methodological constraints. Our review identifies key research trends and offers speculative insights and research trajectories to enhance diagnostic performance. Additionally, we establish a consensus on best practices to mitigate persistent methodological issues, assisting the development of generalizable, reliable, and consistent results in medical diagnostics.

Computer applications have considerably shifted from single data processing to machine learning in recent years due to the accessibility and availability of massive volumes of data obtained through the internet and various sources. Machine learning is automating human assistance by training an algorithm on relevant data. Supervised, Unsupervised, and Reinforcement Learning are the three fundamental categories of machine learning techniques. In this paper, we have discussed the different learning styles used in the field of Computer vision, Deep Learning, Neural networks, and machine learning. Some of the most recent applications of machine learning in computer vision include object identification, object classification, and extracting usable information from images, graphic documents, and videos. Some machine learning techniques frequently include zero-shot learning, active learning, contrastive learning, self-supervised learning, life-long learning, semi-supervised learning, ensemble learning, sequential learning, and multi-view learning used in computer vision until now. There is a lack of systematic reviews about all learning styles. This paper presents literature analysis of how different machine learning styles evolved in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for computer vision. This research examines and evaluates machine learning applications in computer vision and future forecasting. This paper will be helpful for researchers working with learning styles as it gives a deep insight into future directions.

The recent developments in deep learning techniques evolved to new heights in various domains and applications. The recognition, translation, and video generation of Sign Language (SL) still face huge challenges from the development perspective. Although numerous advancements have been made in earlier approaches, the model performance still lacks recognition accuracy and visual quality. In this paper, we introduce novel approaches for developing the complete framework for handling SL recognition, translation, and production tasks in real-time cases. To achieve higher recognition accuracy, we use the MediaPipe library and a hybrid Convolutional Neural Network + Bi-directional Long Short Term Memory (CNN + Bi-LSTM) model for pose details extraction and text generation. On the other hand, the production of sign gesture videos for given spoken sentences is implemented using a hybrid Neural Machine Translation (NMT) + MediaPipe + Dynamic Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) model. The proposed model addresses the various complexities present in the existing approaches and achieves above 95% classification accuracy. In addition to that, the model performance is tested in various phases of development, and the evaluation metrics show noticeable improvements in our model. The model has been experimented with using different multilingual benchmark sign corpus and produces greater results in terms of recognition accuracy and visual quality. The proposed model has secured a 38.06 average Bilingual Evaluation Understudy (BLEU) score, remarkable human evaluation scores, 3.46 average Fréchet Inception Distance to videos (FID2vid) score, 0.921 average Structural Similarity Index Measure (SSIM) values, 8.4 average Inception Score, 29.73 average Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) score, 14.06 average Fréchet Inception Distance (FID) score, and an average 0.715 Temporal Consistency Metric (TCM) Score which is evidence of the proposed work.

Artificial intelligence is changing the world, especially the interaction between machines and humans. Learning and interpreting natural languages and responding have paved the way for many technologies and applications. The amalgam of machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing helped Conversational Artificial Intelligence (AI) to change the face of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). A conversational agent is an excellent example of conversational AI, which imitates the natural language. This article presents a sweeping overview of conversational agents that includes different techniques such as pattern-based, machine learning, and deep learning used to implement conversational agents. It also discusses the panorama of different tasks in conversational agents. This study also focuses on how conversational agents can simulate human behavior by adding emotions, sentiments, and affect to the context. With the advancements in recent trends and the rise in deep learning models, the authors review the deep learning techniques and various publicly available datasets used in conversational agents. This article unearths the research gaps in conversational agents and gives insights into future directions.

Automatic Leukemia or blood cancer detection is a challenging job and is very much required in healthcare centers. It has a significant role in early diagnosis and treatment planning. Leukemia is a hematological disorder that starts from the bone marrow and affects white blood cells (WBCs). Microscopic analysis of WBCs is a preferred approach for an early detection of Leukemia since it is cost-effective and less painful. Very few literature reviews have been done to demonstrate a comprehensive analysis of deep and machine learning-based Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) detection. This article presents a systematic review of the recent advancements in this knowledge domain. Here, various artificial intelligence-based ALL detection approaches are analyzed in a systematic manner with merits and demits. The review of these schemes is conducted in a structured manner. For this purpose, segmentation schemes are broadly categorized into signal and image processing-based techniques, conventional machine learning-based techniques, and deep learning-based techniques. Conventional machine learning-based ALL classification approaches are categorized into supervised and unsupervised machine learning is presented. In addition, deep learning-based classification methods are categorized into Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), and the Autoencoder. Then, CNN-based classification schemes are further categorized into conventional CNN, transfer learning, and other advancements in CNN. A brief discussion of these schemes and their importance in ALL classification are also presented. Moreover, a critical analysis is performed to present a clear idea about the recent research in this field. Finally, various challenging issues and future scopes are discussed that may assist readers in formulating new research problems in this domain.
