Prof. Dr. Haruki Kitazawa

Prof. Dr. Haruki Kitazawa is a Professor and the Dean of Graduate School of Agricultural Science, Tohoku University. He graduated from the Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Tohoku University, and worked as an assistant professor, and associate professor at the Graduate School of Agricultural Science, Tohoku University before his current position. He also served as director of the International Education and Research Center for Food and Agricultural Immunology. He has been awarded the Japanese Association for Food Immunology Award. He is also a member of American Society for Microbiology, Society for Mucosal Immunology, American Dairy Science Association, and American Society of Animal Science. His research interests include (post)immunobiotics; lactic acid bacteria; antiviral immunity; etc.
