Ariana Raluca Magdas (Hategan) is a First Stage Researcher (R1) at the National Institute for Research and Development of Isotopic and Molecular Technologies (INCDTIM) in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and a PhD Student at the Faculty of Physics, Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Her research activity focuses on the development of new strategies for experimental data processing, acquired through mass spectrometry (isotopic and elemental profiles) and various spectroscopic techniques (IR, Raman, fluorescence, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR), for food and beverage authentication, using statistical methods and Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, she has a focused interest in the optimization of differentiation models by identifying efficient workflows for data preprocessing, as well as in the development of new web applications for food/beverage authentication. At INCDTIM, she has been actively involved in 9 national and international research projects. Her publication record includes 30 articles in Web of Science indexed journals, among which 10 as first author, and 1 book chapter. She has an h-index of 10 according to Web of Science. She has participated in 18 international conferences, including 11 oral presentations; four of these presentations were supported by competitively awarded travel grants. Notably, she is the first author of a patent application that was awarded two gold medals at international exhibitions.
