KWANG WOO NAM is a professor in the School of Computer, Information, and Communications Engineering at Kunsan National University in the Republic of Korea. He received a Ph.D. degree in computer science from Chungbuk National University. From 2001 to 2004, he was a senior member of the research staff at the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) of Korea. At ETRI, he studied location-based services and telematics and developed an in-memory moving object database system. Currently, his research interests include spatial and moving object databases, spatial big data, data science, and GeoAI.
