Prof. Ling Wang

Ling Wang is currently an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science, Northeast Electric Power University, China. She received her Ph.D. degree from Chungbuk National University, Korea, in 2013. Her research interests are mainly in the fields of big data, data mining, semantic analysis, AI, and bioinformatics. She has led research on eight projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Scientific Research Foundation for the Returned Overseas Chinese Scholars, State Education Ministry (SRF for ROCS, SEM), Science and Technology Development Plan of Jilin Province, etc. She has published more than 70 articles in recognized journals, conferences, and books. She has published eight Chinese patents. Prof. Ling Wang joined Big Data and Bioinformatics Lab and is the recipient of many research awards, including 2014/2020 Science and Technology Award, 2019 Electrical Engineering Society Award, 2017 Science and Technology Progress Award. She has served on numerous international conferences program committees, including FITAT, IIHMSP, ICITSA, HP3C, WSAI, and ICGEC.
