Prof. Dr. Leonardo Juan Ramirez Lopez received his Engineer degree in Electronics, at the Antonio Nariño University in 1997. In 2002, he obtained a Specialist in Electronic Instrumentation. In 2006, he obtained a Master's degree in Systems Engineering from the National University of Colombia. He has a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Mogi das Cruzes in Sao Paulo (Brazil) in 2012. He worked as a Head of the Technological Development and Innovation Division of the Research Vice-Rectory of the Universidad Militar Nueva Granada from 2012 to 2016 and from 2019 to 2020. He has been certified in the Innovation Readiness Series by the IC2 Institute of the University of Texas at Austin since 2015. He is a full Professor of Undergraduate (UBosque), Master's, and Doctorate studies in areas of innovation and research methodology, and an evaluator of the Innova 2015 Award, from the Ministry of Commerce. His research topics mainly include Biomedicine, Telecommunications, Education, Sustainable Systems, Optical Routing, and Blockchain.
