Susanna Laurenzi received her M.Sc. in Astronautical Engineering in 2004 and Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering in 2007 from the School of Aerospace Engineering, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. She was a researcher of Aerospace and Defense at the Centro Sviluppo Materiali S.p.A., Rome, Italy, from 2006 to 2011. She is currently an associate professor of Aerospace Structures and Design at Sapienza University of Rome. Her research fields include the design and manufacturing of aerospace structures, the engineering of nanocomposites and advanced composite materials for aerospace applications, and
analysis of failure mechanisms in nanostructured composite materials.
