In this paper, a bias-correction least-squares (LS) algorithm is proposed for identifying block- oriented errors-in-variables nonlinear Hammerstein (EIV- Hammerstein) systems. Because both the input and output of the EIV-Hammerstein system are observed with additive white noises, the estimation bias of traditional LS algorithm is introduced. The estimation bias is derived from a consistency point of view, which is a function about noise variances and monomial of noiseless system input–output measurements. A bias-estimation scheme based only on the available noisy measurements is then proposed for consistent identification of the monomial of noiseless system input–output measurements in a recursive form. In particular, a specific algorithm based on minimizing the output prediction error is given to find out the unknown noise variances for practical applications, such that the noise effect can be eliminated and the consistent estimated parameters are obtained. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated by a simulation example and an experimental prototype of wireless power transfer system.

In this article, a consistent subspace identification method (SIM) is proposed for block-oriented errors-in-variables Hammerstein systems. Due to that the existing SIMs using parity subspace based on noisy measurements may result in biased parameter estimates, we propose a scheme for the consistent system parameter estimation, which estimates the noise-free Hankel matrix using available noisy measurements and noise variances. A 2-D search method is proposed to estimate the unknown noise variances from available noisy measurements. After that consistent estimations of the Hammerstein system parameters can be then retrieved from the estimated noise-free Hankel matrix following the same algorithm framework of the existing SIMs using parity subspace. Two simulation examples are included to support the effectiveness and merits of the proposed method.

This article explores the application of reinforcement learning (RL) strategy to achieve an adaptive fixed-time (FxT) optimized formation control of uncertain nonlinear multiagent systems. The primary obstacle in this process is the difficulty in attaining FxT stability under the actor-critic setting due to intermediate estimation errors and generic system uncertainties. To overcome these challenges, the RL control algorithm is implemented using an identifier-actor-critic structure, where the identifier is utilized to address the system uncertainty involving unknown nonlinear dynamics and external disturbances. Furthermore, a novel quadratic function is introduced to establish the boundedness of the estimation error of the actor-critic learning law, which plays a pivotal role in the FxT stability analysis. Finally, a unified FxT optimized formation control strategy is developed, which guarantees the realization of the predetermined formation at a fixed time while optimizing the given performance measure. The effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm is verified through simulation of a team of marine surface vessels.

This paper handles the distributed cooperative fault detection problem for multiagent systems (MASs) with additive type of faults and external disturbances. A distributed cooperative fault detection scheme is proposed through which the strict requirement on single agent's performance can be released. Moreover, a mixed H ∞ /H 2 optimization approach is presented to guarantee that the cooperative fault detection scheme can get a proper compromise between sensitivity to faults and robustness to disturbances on the network level. In order to be applicable with MASs, a distributed implementation of the proposed scheme is developed by applying an iterative approach. Effectiveness and improvements of the proposed scheme are validated on a multivehicle experimental platform.
