Alleviating household economic fragility and poverty is a global challenge in achieving a nation’s well-being. This study aims to examine the impact of social capital and Indonesian household economic welfare, as well as understand the mediating role of entrepreneurial, digital, and financial literacy. To address this objective, a structural equation modeling partial least square was adopted to acquire comprehend findings. The survey data were gathered from households in East Java of Indonesia using a simple random sampling approach. The findings from this study highlight that social capital significantly influences several literacies of households in Indonesia, including digital literacy, financial literacy, and entrepreneurial literacy. However, this study failed to confirm the nexus between social capital and household economic welfare. In addition, financial literacy, digital literacy, and entrepreneurial literacy all play an important role in mediating the connection between social capital and the economic welfare of households.

Entrepreneurial self-efficacy has been widely recognized as prominent in entrepreneurship, which can promote entrepreneurial intention, entrepreneurial attitude, and business creation. This paper aims at investigating the extent and relationship of entrepreneurial self-efficacy, entrepreneurial intention, entrepreneurial attitude, and business creation among graduates in Malaysia, as well as examine the serial mediators of entrepreneurial intention and environmental factors in linking this relationship. This present study used a quantitative approach with a self-administered survey directed at university students in Malaysia. A total of 282 public university graduates in the Klang Valley completed this survey, and we further analysed the data undergoing covariance-based structural equation modelling (SEM). The findings indicate that entrepreneurial self-efficacy has a robust effect on entrepreneurial intention, entrepreneurial attitude, and business creation among university graduates in Malaysia. In addition, results indicated that entrepreneurial intention and environmental factors completely mediate the serial mediation of entrepreneurial self-efficacy and business creation, while these two mediators partially mediate the link between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial attitude among graduates in Malaysia.

Financial literacy contributes to the economic well-being of every country. Specifically, the financial literacy level of low-income households is crucial in the process of developing and building economic potential. Moreover, the knowledge, attitude, and behavior of families are essential to the financial sustainability and money-wise behavior of low-income households. Thus, financial literacy and financial well-being are vital for low-income households to survive in highly competitive marketplaces and sustain their socioeconomic status. This study intends to examine the impact of financial literacy on the socioeconomic status of low-income households. A self-administered survey questionnaire was employed, and the sample consists of 282 randomly selected respondents from low-income households in Malaysia. The data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modelling procedure in IBM-SPSS-AMOS 26.0 to examine the causal effect. The results showed that financial literacy (consisting of financial knowledge, financial behavior, and financial attitudes) has a positive and significant impact on the socioeconomic status of low-income households. Moreover, financial well-being also mediated the effect of financial literacy on socioeconomic status. The research results provide new ideas and perspectives for improving money-wise mechanisms and the socioeconomic sustainability of low-income households.

This paper aims to assess entrepreneurial behavior among vocational college students in China with a valid measurement, the content validity index (CVI). Content validity is essential for substantiating the accuracy of an assessment tool such as questionnaires, particularly in the context of research. In this process, content validity was ensured through use of an expert panel approach comprising five individuals with expertise in the studied field. Therefore, vocational college students’ entrepreneurial behavior, which consists of entrepreneurial activities, overcoming failure, and proactive behavior, was analyzed and tested using CVI. This research included five expert panels in the field of entrepreneurial education in China, and a 4-point relevance rating scale that has already been proven to have high efficacy was used in this study. There are two types of CVIs, the Scale-level Content Validity Index (S-CVI) and the Item-level Content Validity Index (I-CVI). Items scoring less than 1.00 on the I-CVI or less than 0.9 on the S-CVI were removed. The researcher found that the constructs of entrepreneurial behavior, including entrepreneurial activities, overcoming failure, and proactive behavior, demonstrated strong content validity in assessing the extent of entrepreneurial behavior among vocational college students in China. After this stage, further research on construct validity and reliability tests with the current scale is recommended. The results further confirm its suitability, indicating that this scale is applicable for researchers exploring studies that focus on entrepreneurial behavior within the context of vocational colleges.

Understanding economic behavior will be beneficial for students to manage their economy and finances while they are living apart from their parents. This study aims to investigate the impact of family economic education on the economic behavior of students and examine the role of economic and entrepreneurial literacy. The research data were collected through an online survey from 546 university students in Indonesia, and structural equation modeling with IBM-SPSS-AMOS 28 was utilized to confirm the proposed hypothesis. The findings indicated a robust link between family economic education and the economic behavior of students. Similarly, family economic education can promote the economic and entrepreneurial literacy of students. This study also confirms the direct influence between economic literacy, entrepreneurial literacy, and the economic behavior of students. Lastly, this study notes the essential roles of economic and entrepreneurial literacy in mediating the relationship between family economic education and university students’ economic behavior in Indonesia. The results offer valuable insight for policy researchers and educational institutions regarding how to involve economic and entrepreneurial literacy to foster economic behavior among university students.

Parents’ awareness of the importance of education greatly influences decision-making on educational extensions for children. Because more and more parents are aware of the importance of education in supporting the survival of children in the future, parents will be more aware of expanding education to a higher level for the benefit of the children, the environment, and the future. The objective of this study is to identify the factors that influence parents’ awareness in investment decision-making for children’s education. To address this issue, we use Cooper’s approach combined with the prism method, which offers a methodological framework and reporting procedure for the current review. Six main factors have emerged to answer the objective of this study, namely out-of-pocket expenses, forgone earnings, returns on investment, educational design, educational process, quality of education, and competitiveness. These findings show that decision-making for education transfers is not only seen from the side of government policy but also from the family side, illustrating the need for continuous synergy between the government policy and parents’ awareness of it, so that the improvement of superior human resources through education continues optimally.
