Prof. Dr. Mingwei Tian is a Professor and the Vice Dean at the College of Textiles and Clothing, Qingdao University. In 2012, he received his PhD from a joint program between Donghua University and the University of California, Davis. His research areas are functional fibers and smart electronic textiles, smart wearable technology and smart textiles, and new forming technologies and theories for the fibers and their aggregates. He serves as Director of the China Textile Machinery Association, a young editorial board member of Advanced Fiber Materials, etc. He won second prize in the Science and Technology Progress Award of Shandong Province, the second prize in the Science and Technology Progress Award of China National Textile and Apparel Council, etc.
