Improvement in social media (SM) platforms and their ability to enable small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to reach a large audience has led to changes in how entrepreneurial firms carry out their regular activities. Studies on entrepreneurship and SM adoption are relatively new and fragmented; however, there is scant interest from managers, scholars, and governments for future research work in this area in emerging countries. This study aims to investigate the role of SM adoption and innovation capabilities (IC) in improving SME performance. We employ the resource-based view (RBV) as a basis for the conceptual model and infer relationships between entrepreneurial orientation (EO), SM adoption, IC, and SME performance. A closed-ended questionnaire was administered to collect data through a web-based survey and quantitative analysis was employed to generalise the results. The proposed relationships are tested on a sample of 431 randomly selected SMEs, applying the PLS algorithm, bootstrapping, and blindfolding techniques using SmartPLS 3.0. The findings reveal that SME performance could be improved by EO, SM adoption, and IC. Additionally, SM adoption significantly mediates the EO–SME-performance relationship, and IC moderates the SM-adoption–SME-performance association. This paper also makes several theoretical and practical contributions.

This empirical study investigated the associations between psychological well-being, job satisfaction, trust in supervisor, and job performance. Data were collected from 277 company employees in Bahrain through online questionnaires and analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). The purpose of the study is to examine the relationships between psychological well-being, job satisfaction, trust in supervisor, and job performance through the use of a theoretical framework that synthesizes prominent models in the field of organizational psychology. The research findings indicate a positive influence of psychological well-being on both job satisfaction and job performance. Notably, job satisfaction plays a mediating role in the relationship between psychological well-being and job performance. The study contributes to the existing body of knowledge by offering an integrated approach to examining the intricate connections between psychological well-being, job satisfaction, trust in supervisor, and job performance, which all are crucial for creating a sustainable workplace environment and outcomes. Practical implications highlight the need for organizations to prioritize employee psychological well-being through initiatives such as wellness programs and supportive work environments, as these initiatives directly influence job satisfaction and performance. Job satisfaction acts as a significant mediator, emphasizing the importance of fair compensation, recognition, and professional development in enhancing job satisfaction.

In the context of China’s path to industrialization advancement, environmental problems are becoming increasingly serious. Therefore, the cultivation of green technology innovation has become an urgent task during the current industrialization development. According to the “Porter hypothesis,” environmental regulation is an important driving force for green technology innovation. Environmental tax is a typical environmental regulation, although it was implemented late in China. Green technology innovation is one of the long-term effects of environmental tax collection. Using multiple regression analysis and taking Chinese manufacturing enterprises as samples, this study constructs and tests a model of environmental tax promotion and its effect on green technology innovation, revealing the micro-mechanism of environmental tax incentives and also finding that sufficient environmental tax incentives are lacking. The strategy of green technology innovation cultivation for manufacturing enterprises in China under the current environmental tax regulation is provided in this article in order to provide a current theoretical reference point for the development of China’s ecological economy.

Using China’s provincial panel data from 2006 to 2016, this paper develops a dynamic panel data model to investigate the impact and mechanism of green credit on carbon emissions at the national and regional levels. According to the findings, green credit significantly reduces carbon emissions, with the eastern region having the greatest reduction effect. Green credit, with the exception of the western region, has a strong positive impact on disruptive low-carbon innovation. When green credit is combined with disruptive low-carbon innovation, both can significantly reduce carbon emissions; however, the green credit impact diminishes. It can be concluded that disruptive low-carbon innovation has a mediation effect on green credit’s contribution to carbon emission reduction. As a result, China should broaden the scope of green credit, concentrate on providing high-quality low-carbon patented technology to science and technology enterprises, and alleviate their financing constraints. Furthermore, these enterprises should increase their output of disruptive low-carbon innovation while lowering carbon emissions through technological innovation.
