Tobia Lakes is Professor for Applied Geoinformation Science in the Geography Department at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. She has studied in Duisburg, Bonn, and Belfast and received her PhD from Technische Universität Berlin. Since 2007, she heads the research group on Applied Geoinformation science at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin on spatio-temporal analysis and modeling of human-environment systems, with a particular focus on land use change and human health.
