Vlad Alexandru Georgeanu is an orthopedic surgeon. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine Craiova in 1992 and the orthopedic residency in 1998; immediately he joined the Orthopedic Department of the UMF Carol Davila, Bucharest. Since 2006 he has been a Medical Doctor with the thesis “The influence of mechanical factors on the survival of total knee arthroplasty”. The main domain of interest is knee and hip replacement and sports medicine. In this field he participated in several courses as an invited speaker. He sustained more than 100 presentations at various national and international congresses and conferences and published 41 papers as the main author or coauthor. Dr. Georgeanu is also the co-author of 5 specialized books, and he participated as an investigator in 9 international clinical studies. Currently, Dr. Georgeanu is a member of the board of SOROT (Romanian Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology) as a national representative alongside EFORT.
