Prof. Moussa Chalah is a consulting psychiatrist and neuroscientist at GHU Paris Psychiatrie
& Neurosciences (France), where he is the physician in charge of noninvasive brain
stimulation techniques, and an adjunct associate Professor of Neurosciences at the
Lebanese American University, School of Medicine (Lebanon).
After graduating from the American University of Beirut with a BS in Biological Sciences and
a minor in Arabic literature, he completed his medical education (MD) at the Lebanese
American University, School of Medicine, followed by a psychiatry training at the University
of Paris (France), and a master’s and PhD in neurosciences at University Paris Est/Henri
Mondor Hospital (France). He also holds a master’s degree in clinical psychology and
psychotherapy (MPsych) (University of Paris) and a university diploma in clinical
neurophysiology (University of Lille).
His ten years of in-depth research experience constitutes significant contributions in the
area of neurosciences (h-index 26, citations: 2122, google scholar), with 77 PubMed
indexed/90 Web of Science indexed articles. Prof. Chalah is member of the French Society of
Neurophysiology, the International Neuromodulation Society, the French Society of
Neuromodulation, the Institute of Vertebral Column & Neurosciences, the French
Association of Biological Psychiatry and Neuropsychopharmacology.
