Masters in Veterinary Medicine from FMVZ/UNESP, Botucatu campus, specialization from Colorado Veterary Laboratory (Denver both), Masters in Veterinary Pathology (1999), and PhD in Clinical Medicine (2001) from FCAV/UNESP Jaboticabal campus. He is currently an adjunct professor at the Faculty of Medicine of São José do Rio Preto (FAMERP) in the Molecular Biology Department. Advisor and professor of the postgraduate courses in Health Sciences FAMERP, Biosciences at IBILCE/UNESP - Campus of São José do Rio Preto. Ad hoc consultant for the São Paulo Research Foundation and CNPq. He is a member of the Ethics Committee on the Use of Animals (CEUA/Famerp). Member of the Brazilian Association of Veterinary Oncology since 2005, member of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) since 2011, member of the Brazilian Society of Laboratory Animal Science since 2014, member of the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) and Veterinary Cancer Society (VCS) since 2019, and coordinator of the FAMERP Bioterism Center from 2006 to 2021. She has extensive experience in biochemistry, biology, experimental oncology, and molecular research, with an emphasis on the search for cancer through experience and the in vitro and in vivo study of cancer effect of melatonin on tumorigenesis, cell-cell interactions, and metastasis.
