Prof. Dr. Xianguo Li is a Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering
Professor at the University of Waterloo. He received a B.S. degree in Thermal
Energy Engineering, an M.S. degree in
Mechanical Engineering , and a Ph.D.
degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University, in 1989. Dr.
Xianguo Li is a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering (FCAE), a fellow
of the Engineering Institute of Canada (FEIC) and a fellow of the Canadian
Society for Mechanical Engineering (CSME), and serves as senior VP for CSME. Previously he served as the CSME VP Technical Program and early as Division Chair for the Advanced
Energy Systems technical division. He also serves as the President of the
International Association for Green Energy and President of the Fuel Cell
Division, International Association for Hydrogen Energy, and established the International Green Energy Conference series and the World Fuel Cell Conference series. His research interests include hydrogen energy, fuel cells,
spray dynamics, fluid dynamics, heat and mass transfer, power generation,
propulsion systems, thermodynamics, energy, automotive, design and fabrication technologies,
alternative fuels, hybrid and electric vehicles, energy storage, power systems, renewable energy, and nanotechnology.
