Dr Suzanne Hagan is a senior lecturer in the department of Vision Sciences at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU), UK. She graduated in Biochemistry (1995) and a Ph.D. in Cell Biology/Biochemistry (2002, both from University of Liverpool). Suzanne has authored 28 articles in peer-reviewed journals. She has supervised 2 doctoral theses to completion and currently supervises another four. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Suzanne’s main area of research is identification of tear fluid biomarkers in ocular surface inflammation. Her research also includes conjunctival epithelial cell models of this condition. Suzanne is on the UK Editorial Board for the European Predictive, Preventive & Personalised Medicine journal (http://www.epmanet.eu/journal/journal).
