Prof. Shing-Tai Pan

Shing-Tai Pan was born in Pingtung, Taiwan, on November 4, 1966. He received an M.S. degree in electrical engineering from National Sun Yat-Sen University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in 1992 and a Ph.D. degree from National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1996. In 2006, he joined the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National University of Kaohsiung, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. He is currently a professor. He is a member of the Taiwanese Association for Artificial Intelligence (TAAI) and the Chinese Automatic Control Society (CACS). He is also a member of The Association for Computational Linguistics and Chinese Language Processing (ACLCLP). His current research interests are in the areas of biomedical signal process, digital signal process, speech recognition, evolutionary computations, applications of artificial intelligence, and intelligent control systems design.
