Exercise prevalence in older adults often shows low levels, with a considerable portion of this demographic being physically inactive. Myriad studies have also depicted gender disparities in exercise prevalence, highlighting that men tend to engage in more physical activity compared to women. The primary objective of this research is to highlight sports health in older age, prevalence, and risk fac-tors through a systematic review. This research employs a systematic review method by searching reputable journal databases such as Science Direct and Pubmed. The inclusion criteria in this study were articles published in the last five years related to exercise in the elderly, addressing topics such as exercise prevalence, risk factors for exercise, physical activity participation, the health of the elderly, and barriers to exercise. The exclusion criteria in this study were articles published in non-reputable journals. The researchers selected and analyzed 16 articles meeting the inclusing criteria for this systematic review. For standard operations, this study follows the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) assessment. The research findings reveal that within the first group, various risk factors significantly impede exercise in older adults, including chronic health conditions such as heart disease and diabetes. In addition, factors such as lack of knowledge about the benefits of exercise, fear of injury, and social isolation contributed to reduced participation in physical activity. Furthermore, the findings with-in the second group underscore the significance of information that various exercises through health sports activities to support body health in old age. The results of the third group show that some treatments of sports health therapy are suitable for the elderly. Understanding these multifaceted factors is paramount to design effective interventions to increase sports participation in the elderly. Therefore, the promotion of active and healthy lifestyles in older adults should consider the social, economic and health factors that influence individuals' decisions. This holistic approach can contribute to improving the quality of life and well-being of older adults, concurrently reducing the burden of age-related diseases. Study purpose. The aim of the study was to develop a manual and easy test instrument for basic movement skills in early childhood. Materials and methods. In this work, we use a research and development (R&D) method. The research procedures are: (1) the first stage is a preliminary study in the form of potential problems, data collection, and needs analysis, (2) the second stage is instrument development planning, and (3) the third stage is trial, expert evaluations, and product revisions, and (4) the fourth stage is model implementation. A total of 155 children aged 4-6 years participated in this study. Statistical analysis used is the product-moment correlation for the validity test and Cronbach alpha for the reliability test. Data were analyzed using the SPSS application. Results. The results of this study are 1) the creation of a basic movement skill test instrument that can measure three components, namely locomotor, non-locomotor, and manipulative. 2) Based on this validity test, from 15 research instruments of basic movement skills (Y) tested, 15 items were obtained with r-count > 0.133 and were declared valid to be used in capturing research data. 3) The results obtained were r -count = 0.676 and r table 0.133, so the value of r arithmetic > r table, then this instrument is declared reliable and can be used as a data collection tool. Conclusions. The development of basic motion test instruments produce instruments that can measure and evaluate the basic movement skills of children aged 4-6 years which include three components, namely, locomotor, non-locomotor, and manipulative.

Background and purpose. Various studies have investigated Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) in children and factors that might improve them. However, studies examining FMS in children of indigenous tribes remain limited. Thus, this research aims to identify and analyze the relationship between sociocultural life, parenting, and level of education among indigenous tribe children who live on Mentawai Island. The research is also keen on comparing FMS between genders. Materials and methods. This research employed qualitative and quantitative methods. It was grounded by phenomenology and FMS tests. A total of 15 parents, 3 teachers, and 70 young children (aged 5-7 years) participated voluntarily. The children’s genders comprised boys (n=38) and girls (n=32). Data in this research were collected from observation, semi-structured interviews, and FMS tests (locomotor, non-locomotor and manipulative). Then, they were analyzed using a thematic method and t-test to compare the level of FMS among the children. Results. Based on the analysis, parents stated they involved their children in socio-cultural life. Also, children were educated to live independently and given freedom to play. However, the study did not find any relationship between parent’s educational level and FMS. This was evidenced by statistical analysis, in which the mean score of FMS among early childhood in Mentawai Island was 35.46 (good). Following that, boys had better FMS than girls (P33.53. Conclusions. Children need to be given the freedom to actively take part in physical activities in order to gain physical experiences and better FMS. This study recommends future research involving other factors and comparing FMS between children of indigenous tribes and those who live in urban areas.

This study aims to analyze and prove the effect of curcumin on pain intensity and ROM during EIMD. This experimental study used a pre and post-control group design. Research subjects were selected using a purposive sampling technique and then the subjects were divided into 2 groups, namely the group given a placebo and the group was given curcumin at a dose of 400 mg. A total of 24 healthy men aged between 20-30 years participated in this study. On the first day, all subjects took data on the characteristics of research subjects, then warmed up. Then the subjects did the high-intensity physical exercise in the form of squad and leg press exercises with an intensity of 80-90% of maximum ability. The exercise was carried out in 4 sets for each form of exercise and rest between sets for about 1 minute. On the second day, after 24 hours the subject took pre-test data to measure pain intensity and ROM, then the intervention was given based on each group. On the third day, after 24 hours the subject took post-test data to measure pain intensity and ROM. Measurement of pain intensity using the Visual Analytical Scale (VAS) and measurement of ROM performed in the knee joint using a goniometer. After the data was obtained, the data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS version 26 application. The results of this study reported that the group given curcumin during EIMD was able to significantly reduce pain intensity (*p<0.05) compared to the group given a placebo. Furthermore, the group given curcumin during EIMD was able to increase ROM significantly (*p<0.05) compared to the placebo group. We believe that the main cause of muscle soreness is the uncontrolled increase in pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-a and IL-6 during EIMD and then decreased ROM for several days after exercise. Since pain intensity and ROM are needed to support body functions, we highly recommend the use of curcumin, which has many positive benefits for sports enthusiasts to support physical performance. This review aims to highlight the potential of n-3 PUFAs and physical exercise in reducing pain intensity in women with primary dysmenorrhea. This type of research is a systematic review using comprehensive strategies such as searching for articles in research journal databases. The databases used are Pubmed/MEDLINE, Scopus, Web of Science, and Embase. The populations analyzed in this paper are: the potential of n-3 PUFAs and physical exercise to reduce primary dysmenorrhea. The inclusion criteria in this study were journals that discussed n-3 PUFAs, exercise, primary dysmenorrhea, and menstrual pain. The exclusion criteria in this study were disreputable international journals. For standard operationalization, This study follows the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). This review explains that N-3 PUFAs given at the right dose, around 1000 mg/day have the potential to reduce pain intensity by suppressing the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and eicosanoids. In addition, N-3 PUFAs have the potential to prevent and reduce pain intensity by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis. Progesterone is very important in women with primary dysmenorrhea in order to control prostaglandin secretion. This review explains that regular exercise with low to moderate intensity (30-75% of maximum ability) performed 3 times in 1 week can increase progesterone concentrations. Physical exercises that can be done to reduce pain intensity due to primary dysmenorrhea include stretching exercises, jogging, and yoga exercises.
