Electric vehicles are projected to play an important role in the present and ensuing transportation as global environmental and energy issues become more serious. Looking into the growing popularity of electric vehicles, we need to pay even more attention to battery energy storage systems. Electric vehicles in the traditional sense rely on a battery to provide electricity. Influential requirements (acceleration and braking) will deteriorate the battery, or it may not be feasible to use it at all in some instances, due to the battery’s compactness. This paper proposes a Bidirectional DC/DC Converter topology and investigates its operation modes. The proposed converter can be used in hybrid electric vehicles. Hybrid electric vehicles use this converter type to connect a primary battery (ES1), an extra battery (ES2), and an adjustable voltage bus. Both step-up (i.e., Dual-source low-voltage powering mode) and step-down (i.e., energy-regenerating high-voltage dc-link mode) modes of operation are possible with the proposed converter, allowing bidirectional power flow. Furthermore, the model can handle the flow of electricity between any two low-voltage sources. For the proposed Bidirectional DC/DC Converter, two ways of power transmission, circuit design, and operation modes are analyzed. A MATLAB-Simulink model of the proposed, and the system is developed based on a Digital Signal Processor flow chart, and the results of the simulation as well as the performance of the system are discussed.

The article covers the control techniques of shunt active filters using switching devices using artificial neural network (ANN) Theory. The basic idea is to achieve perfect disturbance minimization in both steady and transient states. The paper talks about a four-legged converter with a voltage source that can adjust for biased currents and harmonic elements caused by non-linear loads. A shunt connected active filter is used to minimise harmonic currents. The new proposed ANN controller for the improvement of percent total harmonic distortion (THD) is in comparison. The entire power filter concept is based on a MATLAB-modeled with ANN controller. The proposed circuit in this research is studied under various operating situations and simulated, demonstrating the system's potential.

The brushless DC motor (BLDC) has gained significant popularity in industrial settings due to its notable attributes such as low inertia, rapid response, high power density, exceptional dependability, and reputation for being conservation-free. Typically, these are equipped by a tight-switching PWM inverter, which results in significant switching losses. Consequently, the dissipation of switching loss necessitates the use of sizable heat sinks, resulting in an increase in both the physical dimensions and mass of the drive system. Numerous researchers have developed soft switching inverters with the aim of minimizing switching losses. The utilization of a soft-switching circuit may give rise to additional issues, including heightened voltage stress, incomplete pulse width modulation control, and intricate control scheme or implementation. The present study introduces a basic soft switch inverter design that is suitable for employment in BLDC drive systems powered by batteries. The inverter exhibits low loss for power switching and voltage stress is less on the main switches, while also featuring a straightforward control scheme that is easily implementable. Upon conducting analytical analysis, simulation results were presented by evaluating the theoretical analysis.

The development of renewable energy power systems which are primarily based on solar energy is accelerating as a consequence of the global diminution of fossil fuels. The solar energy is a vast, clean and an inexhaustible resource which can be harnessed by using the photovoltaic (PV) technology. In order to obtain greater voltages from the PV power system for the grid-connected inverters, a DC-DC boost converter might be employed. However, due to the various limitations of the traditional boost converters, many configurations have been proposed to enhance their boost ability. The Quasi impedance-source DC-DC network is one such topology which has been derived from the conventional Z-source DC-DC network by equipping its output ports with a switch and a diode. When compared with the existing Z-source based configurations, it has a lower duty cycle (less than 0.25) which produces a higher boost factor, it has a high voltage gain and it can also avert the instability which is caused due to the saturation of the inductors. It has been developed with a fewer number of energy elements which leads to reduced losses, reduction in cost and enhanced power density. The features of the proposed network along with its working principle in continuous conduction mode for steady state condition, components' voltage and current stresses are assessed. The MATLAB/Simulink findings are offered to back up the theoretical analysis. and attributes listed above.
