Dr. Luca Scotti

Background and skills in Chemistry (organic synthesis and analytical chemistry) I have a Bachelor’s Degree (Honors) in Chemical Science (organic chemistry-synthesis of biomolecule) from the University of Milan. I have spent three years in organic synthesis in a post-graduate position at DISMA (Department of Molecular Science - University of Milan). I have worked in a Senior research position (5 years - Pharmaceutical industry (Euticals group)-R&D laboratory - Italy) and learned the value of good lab practice (GLP) for scaling- up in a pilot plant that ensures that all proper ingredients are added, that each process step is completed according to an established procedure and that essential points in the process are controlled. I have completed project experiments for ex-novo synthesis of pharmaceuticals bulks and I have monitored equipment performance and maintenance schedules. In addition, I am the corresponding author and coauthor for scientific papers in scientific journals. I presented my work in scientific meetings. I have a PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Biochemistry) from the University of Chieti (Italy) I have spent 5 years in the pharmaceuticals industry (Head of the pilot plant) for organic synthesis I am an author and corresponding author for scientific papers. For the last 10 years,I have spent my research in nanomaterials (synthesis and characterization). Actually,I am a research senior in the BIO/10 sector at Chieti University
