Dr Nans Florens, MD, PhD is a highly experienced nephrologist and a senior member of the Nephrology Unit at Strasbourg University Hospital. After completing his PhD in basic physiology, he continued his career by working for two years at the laboratory of Jeffery Molkentin in Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center before returning to Strasbourg to work at Team 3072 "Mitochondria, Oxidative Stress and Muscle Protection", Translational Medicine Federation of Strasbourg (FMTS). Dr Florens' primary area of interest is the cardiovascular complications that can arise in patients with kidney disease, as well as the interaction between the heart and kidneys, known as cardiorenal cross-talk.
