Karol F. Abramek is a professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics at the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin. He obtained his PhD degree in technical sciences in the discipline of Construction and Operation of Machines in 2002 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Szczecin University of Technology. In 2013, he obtained the degree of habilitated doctor of technical sciences in the discipline of construction and operation of machines. The habilitation proceedings were conducted at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Koszalin University of Technology. He is the author of over 155 publications, including one monograph and two books and co-authored four patents. Since 2020, he has been the head of the Department of Automotive Engineering. After obtaining the degree of habilitated doctor, his research work focuses on the development of electric and hybrid vehicles.
