František Lukáč received his PhD at Charles University in Prague in the field of the Physics of Condensed Matter and Materials research in 2015. He is an expert in X-ray diffraction methods and the quantitative Rietveld refinement analysis of identified phases. His research is focused on alloys and their lattice defects, mainly in bulk materials, plasma-sprayed ceramics, and thin films. He has also studied the development of phases and defects during sintering, severe plastic deformation, thermal treatment,
the corrosion and hydrogen loading of alloys, intermetallics, and high-entropy alloys through XRD methods, including high-temperature XRD.
He is an author/co-author of 181 papers with 1455 citations (Scopus), with an h-index of H = 21 according to Scopus.
