Dr Aleksandra Smejda-Krzewicka is an assistant professor at the Institute of Polymer and Dye Technology at the Chemistry Faculty, Lodz University of Technology, Poland. She specializes in the technology and processing of polymers, especially in the modification and cross-linking of elastomers, the development of new elastomer cross-linking agents, the use of natural substances as elastomer fillers, the production of non-flammable elastomeric materials, and the recycling of used rubber materials. Her scientific achievements include publications in journals on the Philadelphia list, publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals, chapters in monographs, publications in conference materials, and patents. She has carried out R&D projects. She is also a lecturer in the fields of chemistry, technology, and the processing of polymers, as well as life-cycle analysis (lectures, laboratory exercises, and projects).
