Blockchain is a revolutionary technology that enables users to communicate in a trust-less manner. It revolutionizes the modes of business between organizations without the need for a trusted third party. It is a distributed ledger technology based on a decentralized peer-to-peer (P2P) network. It enables users to store data globally on thousands of computers in an immutable format and empowers users to deploy small pieces of programs known as smart contracts. The blockchain-based smart contract enables auto enforcement of the agreed terms between two untrusted parties. There are several security vulnerabilities in Ethereum blockchain-based smart contracts, due to which sometimes it does not behave as intended. Because a smart contract can hold millions of dollars as cryptocurrency, so these security vulnerabilities can lead to disastrous losses. In this paper, a systematic review of the security vulnerabilities in the Ethereum blockchain is presented. The main objective is to discuss Ethereum smart contract security vulnerabilities, detection tools, real life attacks and preventive mechanisms. Comparisons are drawn among the Ethereum smart contract analysis tools by considering various features. From the extensive depth review, various issues associated with the Ethereum blockchain-based smart contract are highlighted. Finally, various future directions are also discussed in the field of the Ethereum blockchain-based smart contract that can help the researchers to set the directions for future research in this domain.

Blockchain technology and its applications are gaining popularity day by day. It is a ground-breaking technology that allows users to communicate without the need of a trusted middleman. A smart contract (self-executable code) is deployed on the blockchain and auto executes due to a triggering condition. In a no-trust contracting environment, smart contracts can establish trust among parties. Terms and conditions embedded in smart contracts will be imposed immediately when specified criteria have been fulfilled. Due to this, the malicious assailants have a special interest in smart contracts. Blockchains are immutable means if some transaction is deployed or recorded on the blockchain, it becomes unalterable. Thus, smart contracts must be analyzed to ensure zero security vulnerabilities or flaws before deploying the same on the blockchain because a single vulnerability can lead to the loss of millions. For analyzing the security vulnerabilities of smart contracts, various analysis tools have been developed to create safe and secure smart contracts. This paper presents a systematic review on Ethereum smart contracts analysis tools. Initially, these tools are categorized into static and dynamic analysis tools. Thereafter, different sources code analysis techniques are studied such as taint analysis, symbolic execution, and fuzzing techniques. In total, 86 security analysis tools developed for Ethereum blockchain smart contract are analyzed regardless of tool type and analysis approach. Finally, the paper highlights some challenges and future recommendations in the field of Ethereum smart contracts.

Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a diabetes complication that affects the eye and can cause damage from mild vision problems to complete blindness. It has been observed that the eye fundus images show various kinds of color aberrations and irrelevant illuminations, which degrade the diagnostic analysis and may hinder the results. In this research, we present a methodology to eliminate these unnecessary reflectance properties of the images using a novel image processing schema and a stacked deep learning technique for the diagnosis. For the luminosity normalization of the image, the gray world color constancy algorithm is implemented which does image desaturation and improves the overall image quality. The effectiveness of the proposed image enhancement technique is evaluated based on the peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) and mean squared error (MSE) of the normalized image. To develop a deep learning based computer-aided diagnostic system, we present a novel methodology of stacked generalization of convolution neural networks (CNN). Three custom CNN model weights are fed on the top of a single meta-learner classifier, which combines the most optimum weights of the three sub-neural networks to obtain superior metrics of evaluation and robust prediction results. The proposed stacked model reports an overall test accuracy of 97.92% (binary classification) and 87.45% (multi-class classification). Extensive experimental results in terms of accuracy, F-measure, sensitivity, specificity, recall and precision reveal that the proposed methodology of illumination normalization greatly facilitated the deep learning model and yields better results than various state-of-art techniques.

Alzheimer’s disease has been one of the major concerns recently. Around 45 million people are suffering from this disease. Alzheimer’s is a degenerative brain disease with an unspecified cause and pathogenesis which primarily affects older people. The main cause of Alzheimer’s disease is Dementia, which progressively damages the brain cells. People lost their thinking ability, reading ability, and many more from this disease. A machine learning system can reduce this problem by predicting the disease. The main aim is to recognize Dementia among various patients. This paper represents the result and analysis regarding detecting Dementia from various machine learning models. The Open Access Series of Imaging Studies (OASIS) dataset has been used for the development of the system. The dataset is small, but it has some significant values. The dataset has been analyzed and applied in several machine learning models. Support vector machine, logistic regression, decision tree, and random forest have been used for prediction. First, the system has been run without fine-tuning and then with fine-tuning. Comparing the results, it is found that the support vector machine provides the best results among the models. It has the best accuracy in detecting Dementia among numerous patients. The system is simple and can easily help people by detecting Dementia among them.

This paper proposes a secure and energy-efficient Internet of Things (IoT) model for e-health. The main objective is to secure the transmission and retrieval of biomedical images over IoT networks. To achieve this, the compressive sensing and five-dimensional hyper-chaotic map (FDHC) are utilized to encrypt the biomedical images. However, FDHC suffers from the hyper-parameter tuning problem. To resolve this, a θ-nondominated sorting genetic algorithm III (θ-NSGA-III) based FDHC is proposed. Initially, the initial attributes of FDHC are tuned using θ-NSGA-III. Then, the tuned attributes are used by FDHC to generate the secret keys. The obtained secret keys are then utilized to permute and diffuse the input biomedical images. Permutation and diffusion operations are applied row-wise and column-wise on the input biomedical image to perform encryption. The proposed technique is sensitive towards the input images as the permutation and diffusion of each row and column depends upon the initial scrambled row and column. Experimental results reveal that the proposed technique outperforms the state-of-art image encryption techniques. The proposed framework encrypts and decrypts images at a higher speed, therefore, it can be used to secure the communication in green IoT networks.
