Xiaoming Cai graduated from the Tea Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2009 with a PhD in agricultural insects and pest control. He has been working at the Tea Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences since 2014. He mainly engaged in tea plant protection work. His current main research areas are chemical ecology of tea tree pests, green prevention, and control of tea tree pests, among other areas. He has won third prize of the Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award.
