Zongxiu Luo graduated from Hunan Agricultural University in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in Science. He graduated from the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2010 and 2018 with a master's degree in Agricultural Insects and Pest Control and a doctorate in Tea Science, respectively. Since July 2010, he has been working in the insect chemical ecology research position of Academician Chen Zongmao’s team at the Tea Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He is currently an associate researcher and master’s tutor. He is mainly engaged in research on the chemical ecology of tea tree pests, as well as work related to the transformation and service of green prevention and control technology of tea tree pests. His main research direction is the identification of tea tree insect sex pheromones and related prevention and control technology research. He has won third prize of the Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and China Patent Excellence Award.
