Information

My primary research directions are to investigate the physiological response to acute/chronic exercise, exercise/sport nutrition, ergogenic aids, and nutritional supplement research using both human and animal models. My research strategy is based on the use of the above research models to explore the impacts/underlying mechanism(s) of exercise training and post-exercise recovery, as well as nutritional/dietary interventions on training adaptations, sports performance, brain health/cognitive functions, anti-fatigue effects, and metabolic/brain health statuses in varied populations (e.g. elite athletes, general healthy populations, elder populations, individuals with diseases, etc.). Based on the obtained findings, we further constructed appropriate exercise/recovery/nutrition supplementation strategies for the populations with specific demands.
