Guido Flamini earned a degree in pharmacy from the University of Pisa. He is now a full professor at the Department of Pharmacy of Pisa University. He works in the field of phytochemistry, mainly volatile compounds. CITATION INDEX: over 540 cited documents, over 14000 citations; H-index: 58 (Scopus, February 2026). His research interests include extraction, isolation and structural elucidation of secondary metabolites of plant origin and their biological screening for the evaluation of their activity against human and veterinary pathologies; chemistry of essential oils and volatile compounds spontaneously emitted by plants and their part and aroma compounds of foods.
