Alejandro Zamilpa has a PhD in Chemical Sciences with a specialty in Organic Chemistry. He is the current director of CIBIS-IMSS located in Xochitepec, Morelos, Mexico, a multidisciplinary scientific research center of the Mexican state that has been working for more than 35 years on the study of national medicinal plants. His main contributions are related to the development and design of phytomedicines.
