Ignacio Rodriguez holds a Ph.D. degree in Wireless Communications from Aalborg University, Denmark. He is currently Assistant Professor in Wireless Communications for Industrial IoT at the same institution, where he is currently leading the 5G for Industries Research Group. He is also an External Research Engineer with Nokia Bell Labs. His research interests are mainly related to radio propagation, 5G, Mobile Edge Computing, and Industrial IoT. He is a co-recipient of the IEEE VTS 2017 Neal Shepherd Memorial Award, and in 2019 he was co-awarded with the 5G-prize by the Danish Energy Agency and the Danish Society of Telecommunication Engineers.
