The two-dimensional boundary layer flow of a Prandtl nanofluid was explored in the presence of an aligned magnetic field over an inclined stretching/shrinking sheet in a non-Darcy permeable medium. To transform the PDEs of the leading equations into ODEs, a coupled boundary value problem was formed and suitable similarity functions were used. To obtain numerical answers, an efficient code for the Runge–Kutta technique with a shooting tool was constructed with a MATLAB script. This procedure is widely used for the solution of such problems as it is efficient and cost-effective with a fifth-order accuracy. The significance of immersed parameters on the velocity, temperature, concentration, and bioconvection is shown through figures. Furthermore, the physical parameters of the skin friction coefficient and the Nusselt numbers are demonstrated in tables. The declining behavior of the flow velocity against the porosity parameter and the local inertia co-efficient is shown, and the both parameters of the Darcy resistance and Darcy–Forchheimer resistance are responsible for slowing the fluid speed. The increasing values of the Schmidt number decrease the concentration of the nano entities.

In this work, we obtain some fixed point results for generalized weakly T-Chatterjea-contractive and generalized weakly T-Kannan-contractive mappings in the framework of complete b-metric spaces. Examples are provided in order to distinguish these results from the known ones. MSC:47H10, 54H25.

The aim of this paper is to establish the structure of b2-metric spaces, as a generalization of 2-metric spaces. Some fixed point results for various contractive-type mappings in the context of ordered b2-metric spaces are presented. We also provide examples to illustrate the results presented herein, as well as an application to integral equations.

In this paper, tripled coincidence points of mappings satisfying some nonlinear contractive conditions in the framework of partially ordered Gb-metric spaces are obtained. Our results extend the results of Aydi et al. (Fixed Point Theory Appl., 2012:101, 2012, doi:10.1186/1687-1812-2012-101). Moreover, some examples of the main result are given. Finally, some tripled coincidence point results for mappings satisfying some contractive conditions of integral type in complete partially ordered Gb-metric spaces are deduced.

In this paper we present some coupled coincidence point results for (ψ,φ)-weakly contractive mappings in the setup of partially ordered Gb-metric spaces. Our results extend the results of Cho et al. (Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2012:8, 2012) and the results of Choudhury and Maity (Math. Comput. Model. 54:73-79, 2011). Moreover, examples of the main results are given.
In this paper, we introduce the class of extended rectangular b-metric spaces as a generalization of both rectangular metric and rectangular b-metric spaces. In addition, some fixed point results connected with certain contractions are obtained and examples are given to illustrate these results.
