Stefan Brock received their M.S., Ph.D. and D.Sc. degrees from Poznan University of Technology (Poznań, Poland) in 1990, 1997 and 2014, respectively. He is currently a Professor at Poznan University of Technology, Poland, at the Institute of Robotics and Machine Intelligence, where he is involved in research and graduate-level teaching in control engineering. He is the author or co-author of over 100 scientific publications and serves as a reviewer for international journals and conferences in automation and control. He is a member of IEEE and the Polish Society for Theoretical and Applied Electrical Engineering. His research interests include modeling and control of electrical drives, motion-control design with machine learning methods, sliding mode control (SMC), active disturbance rejection control (ADRC), and control of drive systems with complex mechanical structures, including multi-mass systems and systems with friction and backlash compensation.
