Cristina Tortolini received an MSc degree in Industrial Chemistry in 2005 and a PhD in Chemical Sciences in 2015 at Sapienza University of Rome, with a thesis on the development of electrochemical and optical biosensors. Successively, she worked in a postdoctoral position in the Biosensors Laboratory of Sapienza University of Rome, during which she focused on enhancing of her knowledge in nanotechnology, biosensors and immunosensors in different application fields. Currently, her research efforts are on the development of novel electrochemical platforms for the detection of analytes of clinical interest.
