Tomáš Siebert, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Dentistry at the Department of Stomatology and Maxillofacial Surgery, Jessenius Faculty of Medicine in Martin, Comenius University in Bratislava, where he leads education in periodontology, oral medicine, and healthcare management, while maintaining active clinical practice in Trnava, Slovakia. He graduated from Comenius University in 2000, defended his PhD in 2008, and completed his habilitation in 2021. He holds postgraduate certifications in dentoalveolar surgery, implantology, and mucogingival surgery, alongside specialized training in healthcare management. Assoc. Prof. Siebert is the author of core national textbooks (Periodontology, Periodontology I, Periodontology II), the scientific monographs Periodontitis and Supportive Periodontal Therapy, and co-author of a US-published scientific monograph (Osteoporosis: Assessment, Prevalence and Current Treatment Options). With over 77 scientific publications and more than 205 indexed citations, his research actively shapes contemporary periodontal and reconstructive therapy. He is a member of the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP), the Swiss Society of Periodontology (SSP), and the European Association of Oral Medicine (EAOM).
