Information

Professor Matteo Strozzi, Ph.D., is an associate professor of applied mechanics at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in Italy. He has been a visiting fellow at the Semenov Institute of Chemical Physics at the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow, Russia (2014) and a visiting postdoctoral fellow in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Technion—Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel (2018). He is the winner of the Sir James Lighthill Best Student Paper Award from the International Institute of Acoustics and Vibration IIAV (2017) and the Coatings Best Paper Award, MDPI (2019). He is a member of the review board of the journal Coatings (MDPI) and the topical advisory panels of the journals Materials (MDPI) and C—the Journal of Carbon Research (MDPI). His research topics include the nonlinear dynamics of thin-walled structures, vibration modelling of cylindrical shells, carbon nanotubes and multi-layer beams, functionally graded composite materials, high-damping materials, nonstationary dynamics of oscillatory chains, condition monitoring of mechatronics systems, and experimental modal analysis.
