Prof. Yakoub Bazi received State Engineer and M.Sc. degrees in electronics from the University of Batna, Batna, Algeria, in 1994 and 2000, respectively, and a Ph.D. degree in information and communication technology from the University of Trento, Trento, Italy, in 2005. From 2000 to 2002, he was a Lecturer at the University of M’Sila, M’Sila, Algeria. In 2006, he joined the University of Trento as a Postdoctoral Researcher. From 2006 to 2009, he was an Assistant Professor at the College of Engineering, Al-Jouf University, Sakakah, Saudi Arabia. He is currently a Full Professor of Computer Engineering at the College of Computer and Information Sciences, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He is a referee for several international journals. His research interests include remote sensing, signal/image medical analysis, and computer vision. Furthermore, he is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, and IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing.
