Arun K. Iyer, PhD is a Tenured Associate Professor and the Director of U-BiND Systems Laboratory in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Wayne State University, Detroit, MI. He completed his PhD in 2008 at Sojo University, Japan, under the mentorship of Prof. Hiroshi Maeda (2016 Nobel Prize Nominee). Dr. Iyer received the US DoD Early Career Investigator Award and the prestigious CRS T. Nagai Award for outstanding drug delivery science and technology contributions. He has an H-index of 47 and his work has been cited more than 10000 times. He has expertise in biomaterials and nanomedicine to target various disease conditions such as cancer, infection, and age-related dementia.
