Agostino Marengo has been University Researcher (since 2005) and now is Associate Professor, with over two decades of experience in the field of computer science applied to distance education (e-learning) in higher education and professional training. Research areas: Computer science, computer science education, AI in education, e-learning, Big Data analysis, technology-enhanced learning, Moodle, ICT in education, and e-learning in higher education. Agostino is a lead manager, with a proven track record in managing complex projects (since 2005): Tempus, Erasmus+, Horizon Europe. Agostino's research activity, which resulted in years of coordination of the OSEL - Open Source e-learning Research Project, has led to several international publications in journals and conferences, in several international collaborations, and in the establishment of one of the first Spin-Offs launched by the University of Bari.
