International students face unique challenges in pursuing higher education in a foreign country. To address these challenges and enhance their academic experience, higher education institutions are increasingly exploring the use of artificial intelligence (AI) applications. This research essay aims to investigate the impact of AI on the education of international students. Instead of a traditional literature review, it employs a research approach to examine the potential applications of AI and discuss associated concerns. The research paper explores various AI applications, such as personalized learning experiences, adaptive testing, predictive analytics, and chatbots for learning and research. By analyzing the role of AI in education for international students, this research paper sheds light on how AI can improve learning efficiency and provide customized educational support. Additionally, it identifies significant risks and limitations, including privacy concerns, cultural differences, language proficiency, and ethical implications, which must be effectively addressed. The findings contribute to a better understanding of the potential impact of AI on international students’ educational experiences and offer insights into the integration of AI into educational administration and learning processes.

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare management marks a significant advance in technological innovation, promising transformative effects on healthcare processes, patient care, and the efficacy of emergency responses. The scientific novelty of the study lies in its integrated approach, combining systematic review and predictive algorithms to provide a comprehensive understanding of AI’s role in improving healthcare management across different contexts. Covering the period between 2019 and 2023, which includes the global challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, this research investigates the operational, strategic, and emergency response implications of AI adoption in the healthcare sector. It further examines how the impact of AI varies across temporal and geographical contexts. The study addresses two main research objectives: to explore how AI influences healthcare management in operational, strategic, and emergency response domains, and to identify variations in the impact of AI on healthcare management based on temporal and geographical contexts. Utilizing an integrated approach, we compared various prediction algorithms, including logistic regression, and interpreted the results through SHAP (SHapley Additive exPlanations) analysis. The findings reveal five key thematic areas: AI’s role in enhancing quality assurance, resource management, technological innovation, security, and the healthcare response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The study highlights AI’s positive influence on operational efficiency and strategic decision making, while also identifying challenges related to data privacy, ethical considerations, and the need for ongoing technological integration. These insights provide opportunities for targeted interventions to optimize AI’s impact in current and future healthcare landscapes. In conclusion, this work contributes to a deeper understanding of the role of AI in healthcare management and provides insights for policymakers, healthcare professionals, and researchers, offering a roadmap for addressing both the opportunities and challenges posed by AI integration in the healthcare sector.

This paper presents a systematic review of quantum computing approaches to healthcare-related computational problems, with an emphasis on quantum-theoretical foundations and algorithmic complexity. We adopt an optimized machine learning methodology—combining Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) with Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA)—to analyze the literature and identify key research themes at the intersection of quantum computing and healthcare. A total of 63 peer-reviewed studies were analyzed, with 41 categorized under the first domain and 22 under the second. This approach revealed two primary research directions: (1) quantum computing for artificial intelligence in healthcare, and (2) quantum computing for healthcare data security. We highlight the theoretical advances underlying these domains, from novel quantum machine learning algorithms for biomedical data to quantum cryptographic protocols for securing medical information. A gradient boosting classifier further validates our taxonomy by reliably distinguishing between the two categories of research, demonstrating the robustness of the identified themes, with an accuracy of 84.2%, a precision of 88.9%, a recall of 84.2%, an F1-score of 84.5%, and an area under the curve of 0.875. Interpretability analysis using Local Interpretable Model-Agnostic Explanations (LIME) exposes distinguishing features of each category (e.g., references to biomedical applications versus blockchain-based security frameworks), offering transparency into the literature-driven categorization, with the latter showing the most significant contributions to topic assignment (ranging from −0.133 to +0.128). Our findings underscore that quantum algorithms offer significant potential to enhance data security, optimize complex diagnostic computations, and provide computational speedups for health informatics. We also identify outstanding challenges—such as the need for scalable quantum algorithms and error-tolerant hardware integration—that must be addressed to translate these theoretical advancements into real-world clinical impact. This study emphasizes the importance of hybrid quantum-classical models and cross-disciplinary research to bridge the gap between cutting-edge quantum computing theory and its practical applications in healthcare.

Despite the reported disruptive nature of blockchain technology in the extant literature, its adoption is slower than its potential. This difference between the technology’s promises and its current adoption has sparked interest in understanding the factors impeding widespread adoption. This systematic literature review (SLR), drawn from 1786 studies published between 2008 and May 2023, seeks to address this gap. Specifically, our research explores the influence of factors and their differences and commonalities on blockchain adoption. The SLR, examining individual and organisational perspectives, identifies 152 unique factors influencing 25 industries across 21 countries. This review also highlights distinct commonalities and variations in these factors across industries and countries. For instance, while regulatory issues and costs were universal concerns, the importance of technical understanding diverged between industries. Furthermore, country-specific factors, including local regulations and cultural aspects, emerged as significantly influenced insights that provide a comprehensive perspective on the dynamics of blockchain adoption, offering valuable guidance to industry practitioners and researchers striving to navigate the complexities of blockchain integration.
