Professor Lee works in the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Studies, National Dong Hwa University (NDHU), Taiwan, and is focused on the economic evaluation of ecotourism and ecosystem services using a methodology of ecological economics. He has also applied the theory of community resilience to environmental governance. He has published 46 SSCI journal articles, 1 Econlit journal article, and 15 TSSCI journal articles, joined over 70 international conferences, and received 28 Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) projects, as well as 21 projects from the government of Taiwan. Furthermore, he held excellent research awards in NDHU and MOST from Aug. 2011 to July 2024. He has extended his topics to environmental valuation, sustainability & change, and human-wildlife conflicts. Moreover, he has also applied the methodology of ecological economics to studies in Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Nepal, and China.
