This study aimed to explore the possible moderating role of emotional regulation in the relationship between problem-solving ability, visuomotor precision and visuospatial integration on the one hand and school results on the other in pupils with ADHD. A total of 241 pupils with ADHD (study group) and 207 children without ADHD (control group) were included in our research. Specific tests for the evaluation of the problem-solving ability, visuomotor precision, visuospatial integration, and emotional regulation were applied. The results showed that emotional regulation is a significant moderator of the relationship between school results and problem-solving ability, visuomotor precision, visuospatial integration, and working memory. There are statistically significant differences depending on emotional regulation, visuomotor precision, visuospatial integration, problem-solving ability and working memory in terms of school results of students with ADHD compared to children without this diagnosis. These results can be used in the development of intervention programs.

Studies on early onset schizophrenia are limited because of their low prevalence but the reported results stated that early onset is associated with a poorer outcome. The present research analyzed the stability rate of the psychotic-related disorders from childhood to adult life. The study was based on an observational, retrospective, descriptive analysis study. The subjects were selected from patients admitted to the pediatric psychiatry ward of “Alexandru Obregia” Psychiatry Hospital between 2009 and 2018 for a psychosis-related disorder, who were 18 years or older at the moment of data collection and who also had admissions into the adult’s psychiatry wards of the hospital. Of the 115 subjects, 93, representing 80.87% of the total, maintained a diagnosis of psychotic spectrum disorder into adulthood. The diagnosis was maintained in 82.4% of cases with onset before 13 years old and 80.6% of cases with onset after the age of 13 years of age. Of the 42 subjects who presented affective symptoms during childhood, 71.43% also presented affective symptoms into adulthood. These findings indicate an important stability rate of psychosis from childhood and adulthood and come in accordance with the theory of overlap between psychotic and affective disorders. The results underline the importance of an accurate diagnosis of early and very early onset schizophrenia (VEOS), the need for early and multimodal intervention, but also the need for long-term management of these patients and continuing research regarding psychotic-related disorders in children and adolescents.

The present research aims to identify the training needs of military students and their perceptions about the importance and necessity of training the intercultural competence, before participating in an international mobility stage. Their mobility takes place within the international Erasmus Plus program. The questionnaire that was the basis of this research had two dimensions. Following the processing of the results, it was found that the students need to be well trained before interacting with a new culture.

The present research aims to highlight the relationship between locus of control and learning styles. The study was attended by 225 students from several faculties with a humanistic profile in the University of Bucharest, aged between 22 and 23, both male and female. Statistically significant differences in terms of locus of control depending on learning styles, are to be measured in terms of the dependent relationship between the two variables (p < 0.01). On the other hand, we aimed to highlight gender differences depending on learning styles and locus of control (p < 0.01). The results can be used in the adaptation of teaching methods in the university environment.

The purpose of this study is to identify whether students’ academic performance is influenced by their learning style. The research addressed students in the field of educational sciences. To collect research data, a questionnaire was applied to a number of 143 students aged between 19 and 56 years. The research data were statistically analyzed using the Kruskal Wallis Test. The statistical results indicate significant differences between students with auditory, visual and practical learning styles depending on the academic performance and the year of study. Our results can be used in the teaching-learning process by the teacher.

Background: Epilepsy, particularly early-onset and drug-resistant forms, presents a significant challenge in pediatric neurology. Inborn errors of metabolism are increasingly recognized as important contributors to these types of epilepsy. Timely diagnosis and treatment are crucial in preventing irreversible metabolic damage and improving clinical outcomes in CAD deficiency. This condition is a progressive and severe metabolic disorder caused by biallelic deleterious variants in CAD gene, and is characterized by long seizures, psychomotor regression, and dyserythropoietic anemia. Methods: In this paper, we present four new cases of EIEE-50, emphasizing the importance of early, specific therapeutic interventions. Results: Oral uridine 100 mg/kg/day was administrated with improvement of motor and cognitive function as well as immediate seizures control. Conclusions: Our findings underscore the potential for improved outcomes of EIEE-50 trought timely diagnosis and targeted treatment strategies, reinforcing the role of uridine supplementation as a promising therapeutic approach.
