Dr. Fortuny-Santos was born in Lleida (SPAIN) in 1967. He holds a BSc in electric (electronics) engineering from Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (1989) and a MSc in industrial engineering (1992) from the same university. He earned a PHd. from Universitat de Lleida in 2002, with a doctoral dissertation on the strategic management of olive oil industry. He also holds an MBA from ENEB busines School- Universidad Isabel I de Castilla (2017). He has been teaching, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels, since 1990; first as a part-time lecturer and currently as a full-time associate professor. You can find him at the School of Engineering in Manresa (Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya). His research interests mainly focus on lean manufacturing.
