Michele Michelin, PhD, is a Junior Researcher at CEB and Invited Assistant Professor at University of Minho. Her current research interests include the pretreatment and processing of lignocellulosic biomass for producing value-added compounds including cellulose nanocrystals, biofuels, lignin nanoparticles, lignin-based films, phenolic compounds, enzymes, lactic acid, fermentable sugars, oligossacharides, etc. She has published 45 articles in peer-reviewed journals, 1 book, and 9 book chapters, in addition to several works in national and international conferences (Scopus h-index of 19). She has supervised 3 PhDs (2 on-going) and 6 MSs (2 on-going).
