Martino Marini, born near Genoa in 1961, after taking a MS degree in Mechanical Engineering in Genoa on 1986, obtained the Ph.D. in 1990 . University researcher at the Un. of Genoa from 1990, he moved as Associate professor of Fluid Machinery to the Un. of Cassino on 1998. In 2001 he transferred to the Dept. of Architecture and Planning of the Univ. of Sassari. He is in charge there as full professor from 2005. He gave the course of Fluid Machinery at the Un. of Cassino, the courses of Engineering Physics since 2001 at the Un. of Sassari,
He cooperated with research programs for the Italian Ministry of University in Genoa, Cassino and Sassari. For instance he was the scientific manager of the European project “Project for the redevelopment of the public spaces in Osilo settlement on the ground of principles of energy efficiency” and later scientific manager of the Regional research project “Research of models to reduce the energetic and environmental impact of the water supply from marine source and modeling of the governance to integrate the alternative technologies with the coastal territory in harmony with landscape constraints”. The scientific activity concerns different topics. computational models for turbomachinery flows; aerodynamic analysis of wind turbines; design and optimization of fluid machinery ; technical and economical analysis of wind systems; revised systems for energy storage; energetic efficiency of buildings; applied acoustics.
