Jorge Tapia received his B.Sc. Applied Physics (2009) and Physics Engineering (2011) diploma from the Universidad de Santiago de Chile, and his M.Sc (2016) and Ph.D. (2020) in Physics from the Universidad de Concepción, Chile. As part of his M.Sc, he researched plenoptic systems and, during his PhD., implemented a dual optical tweezer and a thermal fluctuation spectroscopy system. Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher in the School of Electrical Engineering at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, Chile. In his postdoctoral project, he is developing an adaptive optics system called PULPOS, a multipurpose adaptive optics system to explore novel wavefront sensors from Chile. He is an OSA and SPIE member.
