Prof. Haibo Wen, PhD, researcher, master's tutor at Nanjing Agricultural University and Shanghai Ocean University, member of the National Technical Committee for Aquatic Products Standardization, ornamental fish sub-technical committee, and science and technology commissioner of Jiangsu Province and Anhui Province. He is currently the director of the Aquaculture Research Laboratory of the Freshwater Fisheries Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, and deputy director of the Sino-US International Joint Laboratory for the Conservation and Utilization of Freshwater Shellfish Germplasm Resources of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences. His research interests mainly focus on freshwater shellfish breeding, protection and utilization, purple-black pearl cultivation, breeding of new aquatic species and selection of improved species, and ornamental fisheries.
