Nanobiotechnology, the bio-branch of nanotechnology is considered to be one of the fastest emerging research fields. Biosynthesis of metallic nanoparticles is currently under exploitation. Use of plant and plant materials for the synthesis of Zinc nanoparticles is relatively new and exciting research field. The biogenic zinc nanoparticles were synthesized using the leaves of Parthenium hysterophorous by green synthesis route. UV–VIS absorption spectroscopy was used to monitor the quantitative formation of zinc nanoparticles. The characteristics of the synthesized zinc nanoparticles were studied using scanning electron microscopy and nanoparticle analyzer. Zinc nanoparticles were observed to be spherical in shape with size range of 16 to 108.5 nm. The measured zeta potentials varied from 100.4 to 117.20 mV indicate high dispersion of the zinc nanoparticles. The synthesized zinc nanoparticles showed good enzymatic activity and microbial activity. The physiological parameters increased from 30 to 60 days of sowing when compared to control.
This review article presents the literature survey on radio frequency (RF)-magnetron sputtered LiCoO2 thin films used as cathode materials in all-solid-state rechargeable lithium microbatteries. As the process parameters lead to a variety of texture and preferential orientation, the influence of the sputtering conditions on the deposition of LiCoO2 thin films are considered. The electrochemical performance is examined as a function of composition of the sputter Ar/O2 gas mixture, gas flow rate, pressure, nature of substrate, substrate temperature, deposition rate, and annealing temperature. The state-of-the-art of lithium microbatteries fabricated by the rf-sputtering method is also reported.

V2O5 thin films were produced by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) over a wide temperature range, 30–500 °C. The effects of temperature and structural characteristics of the substrate on the growth, surface morphology, and local atomic structure of V2O5 films were probed with atomic force microscopy (AFM) and Raman spectroscopy (RS). The growth mode and microstructure evolution were strongly dependent on the substrate temperature. The onset of crystallization occurred at 200 °C with an activation energy of 0.43–0.55 eV. Polycrystalline PLD V2O5 films with layered structure exhibited the same local structural symmetry found in crystalline orthorhombic bulk V2O5
